For almost 20 years, Bones Rock Yard on the North side of Ottawa, KS has provided a large selection of rock, mulch, sand, gravel, and other aggregate materials at competitive prices. We operate three companies at our location which enables us to serve our customer’s needs with a variety of services:
- A Trucking Company (The Bones Company) – est. 1996
- Rock Yard – est. 1998
- And, a Driveway Repair Service – est. 2017
Since we work so closely with The Bones Company, we are able to quickly transport our material and pass those savings along to you. Win, win for everybody! David Bones – the “behind the scenes” man of Bones Rock Yard. David assists in repairing driveways with his son-in-law, Luke Smith OR if you’re lucky, he will be your delivery man!
Cindy Bones – the popular face you’ll be greeted with as you enter our doors & friendly voice when you call us. Cindy was also the “runner-up” for Business Woman of the Year in 2017 and made the front page of our local Newspaper, The Ottawa Herald! You will see Cindy running the bobcat, delivering materials, or outside helping customers. She is truly our “go-to, do it all gal”! And also, the Owner. 🙂
Luke Smith – the “Gravel Man” of Bones Rock Yard. If your driveway or gravel area is looking a little rough and made need some repairs done, Luke is your guy! Max & Rocky – the furry critters you’ll meet (most days) as soon as you walk into our office. They are our mascots who hold the fort down around here. Both are rescues and some of the sweetest boys you will meet! And no, you can’t take them home – they would be missed by many!
Zoey Smith – Luke’s mini me and the cutest staff member. Zoey enjoys giving money back to customers (sometimes too much), helping Grandma pull weeds from the rock bins, giving our mascots lots of lovin’s, and promoting Bones Rock Yard on the radio!
